Provided by SuperpagesI started using Fairleigh Pet Center, because the person I got my puppy from used them to get her puppy care. I was so pleased with Dr.Schwartz and the staff I have always gone back, that was almost 6 years ago. I live several miles away but it is worth it. They are knowledgeable, caring, will give me advice over the phone for minor problems. I trust the Dr and the staff. Thank You

Provided by SuperpagesWe had not been to Fairleighs in several years, but we were unhappy with the past two vets we had visited. We had to bring our dog there when he became very ill. They were not able to save him and we had to put him to sleep last week. It broke our hearts, but all the staff showed so much compassion and caring that we felt much better. We scheduled appointments for our other dog right away and we are proud to say that our pets have a new doctor who I am sure will take excellent care of them.
I take all 3 of my dogs to Fairleigh and 2 of the 3 have been fixed there and I'll be taking my other soon because I trust the Vet there and he understands my concerns and answers all my questions, my dogs are my babies and at Fairleigh they understand and when they have my pets they treat them with care which is comforting. I have called several times when I've needed advice when my pets were sick and they are so helpful and honest, they don't make me bring them in just to make money they tell me things I can do from home. Our pets need a trusting doctor just as we do and I trust Carl at Fairleigh because he is the only doctor there so each time you can be assured that your pet is in good hands. Another great thing is I never have to wait more than a couple minutes when I take my dogs in, they are extrememly effeciant and know the value of time and their prices can't be beat!

Provided by SuperpagesDr Schwartz is second to none if compassion, ethics and knowledge are important to you when you entrust your pet to someone. My three border collies have been his patients since they were pups and will continue to be in his care for the remainder of their lives. We followed him from Indianapolis to Louisville, and although it is a long trip to the doctor, it is worth it.
I have been going there for years and cannot say enough good things about this clinic. My dog ate some of my heart medication and they saved her life. I could see that my pet's wellness was their primary concern. They are very nice, helpful and you don't have to wait very long to see the doctor. I would highly recommend them to anyone. ALSO The groomers there are GREAT!

Provided by SuperpagesThe saddest thing about moving from south Louisville to Oldham County is that I have to leave this clinic. I lived blocks away and they would see semi-emergency cases right away. The scheduled exams were generally on-time (heck clinics get emergencies too) and the level of care is outstanding. I've had to overnight and weekend cats there for care and I would have no issues boarding my pets there. In fact, I would still drive the 30-40 minutes for boarding. The entire staff is wonderful and seems to have great demeanor with all types of animals. It should be noted that this place stays open until 6pm (about an hour later than many vets) and is open until 2pm on Saturday - when others are closed at noon - thus helping with one semi-emergency I had with a cat that had been in a fight. Fees are very reasonable and a high value for the care given. I'll miss you guys!
It is unfortunate about the cat your reviewer adopted. I am sure it was upsetting but I must tell my story. We also adopted a young cat from Fairleighs'. She was probably around 6 months old at the time we adopted. Miss Kitty passed away December 16, 2010. Other than routine care, she had only 2 visits to a vet for illness. When she passed away in her sleep that December she was 22 years old. What a wonderful cat we adopted from Fairleighs'. We had many, many years of joy and happiness from Miss Kitty....our adopted cat from Fairleighs'. Sometimes things happen that may be discouraging but do not jeopardize the chances for animals to get good homes. There are too many obstacles already. Just wanted to tell our story in memory of our dear Miss Kitty, who we adopted from "FAIRLEIGH PET CENTER" on Dixie Highway.

Provided by SuperpagesHighly recommend him. He was my dogs DR when he was in Indiana. He does truely care about your pet and you can count on him not to rip you off. I cried all the way home when he told me he was moving to KY. Greatly missed! There is none other like him.
