Dr. J. Edie De Niro Graduated from Williams College summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1999. She attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 2009. She then went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in 2013 and glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, Davis in 2015. Reconstructive Surgery
I helped a woman who had splashed liquid bleach in her eye while housecleaning. She had a first-class chemical burn to her cornea and conjunctiva, both of which can threaten vision. Hers will take longer to heal, but she was lucky, also—hers will heal without reconstructive surgery.
