Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Brentwood, CA has brought nothing but stress into my sister and brother-in-law's lives. They had planned to use Dickey's Barbecue Pit for their wedding this year, but after several attempts to contact Shantell Owens, the owner's wife, prior to the wedding and not receiving any response, my sister cancelled the service 11 days in advance. Dickey's contract stipulates that you only need to provide a 24 hour notice of cancellation in order to receive a full refund. My sister and her husband had paid a $959.37 deposit. She was informed by Shantall that she would not be receiving a refund. Dickey's Barbecue did not provide any food/service for my sister's wedding. She had to arrange for another barbecue catering company to cater the wedding. Shantell Owens and her husband should be ashamed for the way they are treating my sister and her husband. They lack integrity, ethics, and will scam you out of your money if you choose to have them cater your event. As a newly married couple, my sister and brother-in-law should be able to enjoy this honeymoon period of their marriage. Instead they are being forced to repeatedly contact their credit card companies, Shantell Owens, and Dickey's Barbecue over the money that is owed to them. Shame on you, Shantell, and Dickey's Barbecue.

If you want to taste some southern BBQ I highly recommend! Sweet tea, Shredded BBQ Brisket, green beans with bacon, and best of all the fried okra!
