Doctor of Motors

I brought my car here for an oil change. Pretty standard, that went well and the service was friendly. However, I was told in writing And in person that i had SEVERELY worn rear wheel bearings that needed fixed right away. They quoted over 700 dollars for this fix. I wasn't about To throw that much money down, so I called around and checked prices elsewhere. A friend ended up looking at my car for me. I bought the rear wheel bearing kit myself and he was ready to do the repair. Turns out the rear wheel bearings were in great condition and didn't need repair. I tried to give Doctor of Motors the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they miswrote what needed fixing and it was the front wheel bearings that had to change. I got those parts too, only to find out upon repair day that the front wheel bearings didn't need to be changed either. The whole thing was a lie to get more money. I wasted over 100 dollars in parts, not to mention my time, stress, and my friend's time trying to fix something that didn't need to be fixed at all. Wow. If I go to Doctor of Motors again, I will only get the oil change and nothing else. Hard to trust these guys after this. I understand the game is to make money, but respect goes both ways, guys.

I love Doctor of Motors! They're friendly, responsive, and have excellent customer service. I feel comfortable taking my car in for service and they even wash it for me before giving it back! Such a plus!

They have friendly and what appears to be caring people to answer the phone, but I would never take my car here again! The cost seemed low and reasonable at first, but during service easily rolled into three times as much. Then after their service (the day after) I found they did not fix what I had brought the car in for, my car did not start. It was only after a formal complaint that they offered assistance and a money refund. I think it became a learning experience on both of our parts and I hope they continue to improve their service.

The customer service at Doctor of Motors was exceptional ! My friends highly recommended them when I was looking to get my car smoged. My car unfortunately did not pass. I was so upset but they reassured me that I have nothing to worry about and that they can help. My biggest fear was paying the mechanics to find a mystery problem. We immediately created a clear plan of action and they explained everything in detail. They found the problem right away corrected it. My car was re-smoged the same day and I was on my way. I enjoyed my experience at Doctor of Motors and would recommend them to anyone for any repair big or small. The trust I found in Doctor of Motors is priceless

Doctor of Motors. Why would you want to go anywhere else? I came in for an oil change about a week ago. They were all very friendly and clear about what was going on. While in the waiting room there were even snacks available. Score. My oil change was done and they also showed me other things that my car might need fixing in the future. It was a very nice heads up. Also the oil change was about $29.00! Awesome for a college budget.

( I won, see edit!!!!!!) This place was amazing, my situation was a confusing one and these guys handled it like pros all the way. Robert was fantastic. He was so nice, so professional, and made me feel at ease. I was greeted within seconds of entering the building, there was no excessive wait at any point during my visit. Everything was laid out in a comprehensive quote, and there was absolutely no fluff, I was never concerned I was being pushed into paying for something I didn't want or need. They had an amazing waiting room with toys for kids, water, plenty of seating and more. So even if your a mom of three like me, your not stuck with fussy and bored babies. Their prices are the best in town! They are friendly, trustworthy, and their work is hands down worth every penny. Thanks guys so much for taking care of me and my family!



Edit: I am editing this because it will not let me write a new review. I said in the beginning these guys were honest and trustworthy and last week I was once again proved right. They held a contest for an apple ipad 2. If you wrote a review for them your name was entered into the contest, obviously you had to be a past or present customer. Last week on Thurs I got a call, I won. I couldn't believe it and wouldn't until I was holding my ipad. Well Tues I got another call, "it's here and waiting for you" Robert said. I still can't believe it, and I've had it for 2 days now, an honest to God brand new, still shrink wrapped ipad 2. These guys go above and beyond time and time again, and their honesty is nothing sort of amazing. Thank you so much Doctor of Motors for everything, but especially my ipad 2!

I had to get my headlights fixed, which turned out to be more difficult than I thought it would be. They did a great job and were very efficient!

Never go to this place you will regret it. I took my car in to fix 2 problems but they told me it had 4 problems and decided to fix them. But it turns out they didn't even fix the original 2 problems that I took it in for. They are worthless and just assume that it's one issue without being certain. I feel like they just want to scam you off of your money and avoid actually fixing your car. Never go to this place please avoid the dishonestly

So glad I found these guys when I first moved to Chico six years ago. They've been helping me out with my Pathfinder, which probably shouldn't still be running, more times than I can count. One of the last times I went in, they were super busy, but still stopped and checked it for me. The most recent visit was yesterday, and my care barely rolled in about and hour after closing for them. They fixed my alternator and got it back to me today. Great guys and always remember your name.

I was told how nice everyone at Doctor of Motors are and would work with me if my car did not pass the smog test.

Guess what?....they did! I could not be more happier. I moved less than a year ago, with my old family car and unable to afford much so finding them has been a blessing!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND...I have brought my Saturn in twice and the staff at Doctor of Motors have been amazing. They always have a smile on their face and take the time to thoroughly explain what is wrong with the car and what they need to do to fix it. They give you recommendations on what needs to be done and lets you decide what is right for you and your budget. I would definitely bring any of our cars there for needed repairs.
