        Since its opening in 2000, Sierra Lakes Golf Club has set a new standard of excellence for public courses in the area. At the club, daily-fee golfers have come to expect outstanding service, meticulous conditions and a challenging round every time they come to spend the day whether it be for a round of golf, an outing for business or with friends or perhaps to hold a meeting or a party in the magnificent clubhouse overlooking the ninth green. On hole after hole at Sierra Lakes Golf Club, guests stand on the tee and feel as if they can reach out and touch those imposing mountains that lie just beyond the green. That s because Sierra Lakes 18 holes, designed by renowned architect Ted Robinson, have been laid out to take full advantage of the site at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains in Fontana, Calif.

        Overall

        Considering it's location out in the IE that tends to get high winds and big swings in temperature (real hot in the summer, real cold in the winter), this course somehow seems to stay in pretty pristine shape. Fairways, greens, tee boxes and rough have always been in great conditions all the times I've gone. Pace of play not an issue if you're among the first groups out and you should actually finish in less than 4 hrs. Food and clubhouse are good here and they typically host a weekend brunch that seems to be pretty popular with the locals. Both the course and amenities are worth the time and cost for me to drive out from LA.
