Dr. Howard A Pope, MD

My regular Dr. had to leave his practice, and all the patients were told by Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.. said we were to see Dr. Pope at the FLOYD MEMORIAL FAMILY MEDICINE IN GEORGETOWN , INDIANA.. Dr. Pope was to see the patients until we got a new Dr. in the other office. Well I met him once and am disabled with numerous diseases. He refilled my medications that I have been on for well over 5 yrs. Some were strong narcotics, including Morphine. After the ONE time he saw me he said he would like to get me off some meds. I said I would work with him.

Well my refills were all due on the 24th Jan. 2011, not only would he NOT refill the narcotics of 5 yrs everyday taken but he would not even fill my ulcer medicine. I told him he would kill me, with two heart attacks in the past this Dr. did not care. I said I am out of all my medicines he said NO REFILLS. I told him if I died it would be his fault.. NO Refills, then a different Dr. there approved them, only for Dr. Pope's nurse calls me and says. Dr. Pope, has STOPPED THE REFILLS, AND SAID when I started withdrawls to go to the hospital for heart attacks and seizures. I told them I would own that before he would. He was letting me, disabled, on these STRONG medications to withdrawl, with no time to find another Dr. He just did not care. I was so scared and shocked.

I could be in the hospital tonight, but thank GOD for Drs. who believe in others and took me in as his new patient. Long drive, but now I have a REAL doc. Instead of one that said no narcotics even tough you were on them for 5 plus yrs. and go to hospital, when withdrawls started today. Oh and lets not forget at the hospital I was to let them know I had no Dr. HE IS RUDE WAS WHEN I MET HIM, AND WAS ALLOWING ME TO HAVE DT'S, AND COULD BE DEAD. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE.
