Casa Del Taco

The salsa for the chips and salsa was mild at best and very watery, I ordered the tacos reynosa and the meat was very bland, my friend ordered the fajita plate and the fajitas came out un-marinated and tasteless with a lot of fatty pieces. Don't buy drinks there either the margarita's we ordered came out garnished like martini's with olives and a spicy rim and the tequila "shots" that we asked for neat, came out chilled and in a 1 ounce shot glass at $7 each. Shot glasses in most places are at least 1 and 1/2 ounces and when topped off the shot is a 2 ounce shot here the shot glasses were only 1 ounce and they charged plenty for it after making it incorrectly (chilled) which watered the shots down to where there was hardly any alcohol at all. At that rate they were making over $135 profit on a bottle that cost $40. The food was terrible, the service was poor and when we asked to see a manager the manager could not speak English at all. I would not recommend going to this facility. The one in Mission was much better.

Hands down, BEST michelada in town... In fact, I want one right now. If you're hungry, don't skip out of their tacos especiales or enchiladas de mole. DELICIOUS!!

Casa Del Taco is a McAllen classic, no one does Mexican better. The food is always delicious!!! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I bring all of my out of town guests to CDT! The Caldo Talpeno is always amazing and their fajitas are great. Dont skip out on the floutas and amazing tacos al pastor. The staff is friendly and it is a go to place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks!

We once ate at Casa Del Taco often. Last went about a year ago and swore we would never go back. The food was cool by the time we got it, the waiter was rude, the food was mediocre. It seems that they just dont care anymore. Dont waste your money or time.

Casa Del Taco is very well known in the area and at one point, was probably serving the best mexican food you could find. With so many more restaurants having been opened up over the last few years, this place has just failed to maintain standards of cleanliness and quality of food. The milanesa I ordered was tough and looked like a very odd piece of meat. The service was pretty good, but the food was completely forgettable. With so many better choices now, this one is no longer a place I crave.
