The food at Pulidos is great, ...

The food at Pulidos is great, I'll give it that much. My friend and I have been to both Pulidos and El Sombrero, which are the most popular of Tex-Mex cuisine in little Saginaw. We prefer Pulidos' margaritas, and it was a day to have a bit to drink[not overkill it]. After 3 average-sized margaritas, I told my friend two order one more for us both then excused myself to the restroom. When I arrived back to my seat, Friend informed me that we had exceeded the limit of margarita intake. "What?" We weren't making racket, and there was only but one other party in the non-smoking area. I called our waiter over and began inquiring as to why we've been restricted and if 3 margaritas was stated in some policy of theirs. After some questions he just did not have rational explanations for, he went over and spoke to the manager, as he said he would do. He came back with our margaritas. Now, I paid for 60 dollars worth of food and + the margaritas. I tip well. The cutting off was just ridiculous.

As delicious as I claimed the food is, the prices are way too high. If you want to eat between two and have only a balance of 20 dollars, give or take - El Sombrero would work better for you. their food isn't bad, but it's quite mediocre in most areas. The Sombrero staff do not stand and watch you eat, either. The busboy, another waitress, our waiter, the main manager, and a waiter of the smoking vicinity, I believe, gathered around the opposite wall of which we were seated and eating. That can be a very irritating experience. Food's good, service is alright, over-priced.

The Best in Saginaw

A little concerned about the first review...this is a Mexican Restaraunt and they don't serve pizza!!

Anyway. Pulido's is great. The food is wonderful and the wait staff could not be more pleasant, sweet and very attentive. We have lived in Saginaw for almost three years and eat at Pulido's every week. The food never changes and is perfect everytime. The staff are wonderful and make our day every time we visit. They have a gentleman who plays the harp and sometimes sings. He is there after 7 p.m. and is amazing. The food, the music, the people...

a perfect way to spend an evening.

Not recommended

This place advertised a large pizza for $5.99. They were unable to make a large for pick up because they were out of boxes and told us that they would make us a medium for $5.99. Why my husband agreed to that I have no idea, but when I went to pick up they requested my coupon for the pizza. I did not feel as though I should give it to them for two reasons, 1 I was not getting the large and 2 there was a sign on the window that advertised a $5.99 large and did not specify that a coupon was required. The girl after arguing with me and telling me that she would charge me full price for the medium finally went and asked the owner who then said that it was ok. I got the food home and it was cold. The pizza was burned on the bottom and the spaghetti was off. I can't really exlain what was wrong with it but there was for sure an off taste to it and one of the two meatballs was not cooked all the way (however the cooked meatball was very good) Needless to say that I will not EVER be ordering from them again and will make sure that I tell all of my friends in the area.
