YGF used to be a fantastic clinic, but when Dr. Adkins bought it he discredited all of the hard work of the caring vets before him. Dr. Adkins’ greed disguised as generosity has forced my family and I to find pet care elsewhere. He refused to sign prescriptions for my dogs unless I bought them through him (over $300 worth of medication) and then called me to tell me he “forgot” to sign the scripts. When confronted about his lie, he held out his hand and said, “You can slap me if you want.” I have never felt so disrespected by a professional. He does not care about the well-being of your pets as much as he cares about making money. Please, do not support his greed.

I was horrified to see how many clinics this horrible doctor owns. In 1995 I took my dog to be neutered at his clinic in Winter Park, Fl. I was told my dog would be ready to be picked up at 5:00 pm. All of a sudden I get a call from the clinic saying they needed to hold my dog over night. I picked him up the next day and he was so sick. I took him to our regular vet to see what was wrong with him and he told me that he had used to much sleeping meds.He said that my dogs organs were failing and he was going to die and die he did a few hours later. I had an autopsy done and they agreed. I then called the board of professional regulations in Tallahassee and found out there was like 12 cases against him. That he was practicing without a license that his staff who had no experience was doing surgery.

One case was a family boarded their dog while they were on vacation and their house dog killed it and he said it died of a heart attack.

Then there were people paying to cremate their animals and he was throwing them in his dumpster.
