I went to Veka here and loved the whole experience. She did a great job fixing up my color, turning another salon's mess into beautiful, natural, bayalagey highlights. She was also fast - her nice assistant Anna helped along the way, getting me out of there in as little time as possible. Plus they were so friendly, sweet, and confident. None of that attitude, pushiness, or (in the case of a recent salon experience) insanity. Just nice people doing meticulous work. It wasn't cheap, but I had a LOT of damage control to do, and I think the same work would have cost me maybe two hundred more at the "high end" salon I had been considering using.

Yes, it is a bit out of my way but totally worth the drive. I've had many cuts from different stylists but only Andrew has done exactly what I wanted how I wanted it. My mom and I go to no one else. We've followed him from a couple shops and will continue to follow him where ever he is at. His fades are unbelievably, spot on. My mom gets her trims and slight layered cuts and she is happy every time. Which if you knew her says a lot? Personable, professional and his scissors are always sharp.

I got my hair colored with them the best color ever the best colorist in the world.

I had partial highlights and haircut with Jessica. She was very personable and felt she really knew what I wanted. Salon is very clean and staff friendly. Will definitely go back again!

I have naturally curly hair and I like to get a Blow Out as often as I can because it is easier for me. I Live close to the salon and decided to try it out because it seems to be a nice salon. I made an Appointment with Jessica for a Blow Out, She did a really good job and gave me advice for my dry ends. I wanted to do something different with my hair so I decided I would do a balayage with my hair. Yesterday I made an appointment with Jessica and I had the balayage done to my hair. I am completely satisfied with my hair and cant wait for my next appointment!

I came to this salon and had the best experience! the location is perfect, the salon has its own parking which was perfect. The salon itself is very classy, neat and the atmosphere is just great. I felt very welcomed by the owner, she was very sweet, attent and made sure i got hekoped out. The girls are very warm and welcoming and i got helped by Vanessa, she was very sweet, and what i liked is that she listened to what i wanted done to my hair and did everything just the way i wanted, its rare to find a hair stylist like that. You can tell she has alot of experience and does and excellent job. Definately found the right person to get my hair done with, I recomend everyone to try Vanessa out and i promise you wont regret it. I was very satisfied and i hope alot more people get to have the same experience i had!

Melinda has been doing my cut, color, etc. for 6 years and she is FABULOUS. I always get compliments on my hair - both color and cut - but even more important is that Melinda is a true professional. She is a great listener so knows exactly what I would like done and she ensures it perfectly meets my high expectations - base color to highlights to cut to blow out - all are done with patient expertise. Melinda is also a fantastic and interesting person so you'll love talking with her while you're getting your hair done!

This salon is beautiful!! My experience was great Jessica greeted me at the door with a welcoming smile and Vanessa gave me the best haircut I've ever had and the manager Lauren she is so nice!! So glad this new salon is here!!

Wedding Hair &Makeup !. VEKA!I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing job on my hair and makeup at the wedding. I felt absolutely beautiful and looked flawless throughout the night. My mother and maid of honor were so pleased with their makeup and hair honestly, they never looked better! Everyone at the wedding was complimenting our makeup! I just left 1st Ave Salon, and received the best haircut from Veka. She took her time, answers all of my questions and concerns. I left this place feeling great. I highly recommend.

It's been a week and my hair is still looking fabulous! I have to give the stylist Isabel another star. The coloring didn't dry up my hair like it always did at other salons. My hair looks so healthy now, I love it! The layers in my hair made it so easy to style it now. I will be returning in a few months for sure.

New to the area and in dire need of someone to tame my mane and snip some split-ends...I went on a hairstylist hunt.



I must admit, I'm not one for "one time cut" flings with stylists. I had developed pretty serious "relationships" with my previous stylists. And now forced to "cheat" I wanted to find someone worth it! I consulted Yelp for the best hairstylist in the area and found- 1stbave salon.



Cheating has never felt so good (3,000 miles made me do it!).

The $45 first-time-customer deal cut and treatment was icing on the cupcake. Veka is amazingly talented she tamed and transformed my thick frizzy/wavy hair into something beautiful. She also gives great treatments, for those of you with significant others or friends in need of some style.

Go to this place on first ave in arcadia and ask for Veka. She gave me a complimentry consult on a keratin treatment and I'm so glad I had it done. It's worth every penny and my hair never looked so great. It's smooth, shiny and so easy to manage. It's cut back on the dry time and improved the appearance . It is a lifesaver! Best invention/product EVER!!!!!!! Plus veka knows how to apply it correctly. VEKA is very very good. What I like most is she listens to me. I have had a great deal of experiences where stylist will just do what "they" want with my hair. Also she will ask me before she whips out the loads of product or uses a flat iron on me. I am a big client on receiving my hair blown out with a round brush. Believe me, there is a skill to it. Most don't know how to do it. Veka does. ( Seperate and blow out each section until its smooth and completely dry) I know its not hard, but for some IT IS!!!!!!! Give Veka a try you will love her. She's a great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard about this Salon from friends and booked an appt for my fiancé prior to our wedding. Having never been anywhere except a traditional Barber Shop before, I was nervous that he would think a Salon was too much. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
